Pros and CONS of Human hair wigs vs. synethtic wigs

If you are nervous to wash the wig or hairpiece for the first time, leave it with us and you can  pick it up the following week as a first time courtesy if purchased from our store.

If you received a free wig from American Cancer Society or Cancer Care and you need some thinning or trimming we are happy to provide a complimentary wig trim with no purchase necessary.

Your wig purchase may qualify as a medical expense.  Ask your insurance provider about Cranial Prothesis coverage if your undergoing Chemotherapy treatments.

• Gently brush wig to remove teasing, tangles or hair spray buildup.
• Add one capful of specially formulated Wig Shampoo to two quarts of cold - NEVER HOT - water.
• Soak 5-10 minutes, then gently swish the wig in the water.
• Rinse thoroughly in cold water.
• Then apply the synthetic non-static conditioner and follow the same instructions above. 
• Pat out excess water in a soft towel.
• Allow to dry at room temperature over a wig stand.

DO NOT USE HAIR DRYER, BLOW DRYER OR CURLING IRON.  Sudden bursts of heat, such as opening an oven door, will damage your wig.

The instructions are also located on our specially formulated synthetic non-static shampoo and conditioner.

We advise replacing your wig every 6-12 months depending on how often you wear it.  Once you start receiving many compliments you will be back for another one sooner than 6 months.
